Every Vintessential™ test kit includes a QC standard supplied with a Certificate of Analysis. Each standard is rigorously tested for accuracy, stability and consistency, with a known certified value.
When running a batch, the standard should be within ±10% of the value listed on the bottle or CoA.
For example, the Malic Acid kit includes a standard of approximately 0.2 g/L.
If your result falls outside ±10%:
Most deviations are caused by technique — not the kit itself.

0:00 Each kit includes a quality-control standard with a Certificate of Analysis. The standard has been tested in Vintessential laboratories and has a known certified value. The malic acid kits include a standard with a value of 0.2 g/L.
0:20 Run a standard with every batch of samples. The result should normally be within 10 per cent of the value shown on the bottle or Certificate of Analysis.
0:31 If the result is outside the expected range, consider the laboratory's acceptance criteria. A difference of 20 to 25 per cent is likely to indicate a pipetting or sample-handling error.
0:43 Try rereading the sample and check the way the samples and kit were prepared. Small handling or setup errors are common causes of an unexpected standard result.
