Vintessential™ is introducing accredited Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) across its spectrophotometric test kit range — strengthening laboratory confidence, traceability and compliance.
Over the past 12–18 months, we have formalised production procedures covering stability, homogeneity, packaging and validation processes. This has enabled application under ISO 17034 (Reference Material Producer accreditation), meaning the standards supplied with our kits will become certified reference materials.
For laboratories, sourcing reliable certified standards can be challenging. Vintessential™ will now supply:
In addition, we are launching a Vintessential™ Model Wine — a multi-parameter certified reference material designed to support broader laboratory testing including:
The Vintessential™ Model Wine will be available from 2026 and represents a major step forward in laboratory-quality control solutions for the wine industry.
Precision. Accreditation. Confidence.

0:00 One of the changes we are most looking forward to is accreditation of the standards. Over the last 12 to 18 months, we have formalised our production processes and created procedures covering stability, homogeneity and packaging trials.
0:24 This work allows us to apply for ISO 17034 accreditation, which means the standards supplied with the kits can become Certified Reference Materials.
0:38 Certified reference standards can be difficult for laboratories to source. Vintessential intends to produce a standard for every kit it manufactures. These standards will be supplied with the spectrophotometer kits, and users of discrete analysers such as Gallery and ChemWell systems will be able to purchase Certified Reference Materials for the relevant kits.
1:22 Vintessential is also developing a multi-parameter standard, or model wine. This will extend beyond Vintessential test kits and provide a Certified Reference Material for other procedures used in wine laboratories, potentially including pH, total acidity and specific gravity.
1:51 The final product name is still being determined. Vintessential Model Wine, a multi-parameter standard, is planned for 2026.
